We are delighted to be getting married in the home of Carley's mom, Ruth, in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado. Fort Collins is a happening and historic town and it's the perfect setting for this special day.
The closest airport is Denver International Airport. Fort Collins is a 1 hour drive north from DIA.
To get from Denver International Airport (DIA) to Fort Collins, you can take a shared shuttle service like Groome Transportation, which offers direct service to Fort Collins. Ubers and Lyfts are also available.
Denver is located at an elevation of 5,000 feet above sea level, which can cause altitude sickness in some individuals. Drink lots of water, pack your chapstick, go slow with alcoholic beverages (!), and take baby aspirin for a few days in advance and during your visit to help your body adjust to altitude.
stay
The historic Old Town area of Fort Collins is a lovely downtown district consisting of several blocks of shopping, dining, and lodging. Ruth's house is a quick walk from Downtown, so staying somewhere in this area is easiest for the big day!
We will have a discount code for stays at The Armstrong Hotel soon - check back with us for more info. The Elizabeth Hotel (Hilton) is also a great option.
There are plenty of Airbnbs and VRBOs in the area. We would recommend staying somewhere close to Old Town if possible. We anticipate that some guests may want to share an Airbnb/VRBO - contact us and we can connect you.
Your presence at our wedding is all we ask of our guests, especially since many of you are traveling to celebrate with us - we only request dancing and merriment! We don’t expect any gifts other than the pleasure of your company.
